Pantomime is a marvellous and wonderful - if a little eccentric - British institution. Pantomimes are performed, not only in the best theatres in the land, but also in village halls throughout Britain. Whether a lavish professional performance or a local amateur dramatic production, all pantomimes are great fun.
Aberdyfi Players have been performing for over 27 years and have gained a widespread reputation for their productions, notably the annual pantomime. The Pantomime is a huge hit with our guests who return year on year to watch the outstanding performances that are produced.
This year sees the Aberdyfi Players performing the well-known fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel, with all the usual suspects including the wicked witch, dame and a troop of children. The story tells the tale of a young brother and sister who are kidnapped by an evil witch living in a forest, in a house constructed of gingerbread, cake, confection, candy, and many other treats.
The Aberdyfi panto is always a joy to watch - it’s entertaining, huge fun for all the family and a thoroughly top-notch show. I guarantee you won’t go home without your belly aching from laughing. Aberdyfi Players beautifully embrace what panto is all about – bucket loads of family fun, having an audience aged 6 to 60 grinning from ear-to-ear, year after year.
