What our guests say...

"A Coastal Gem"
JULY 2017

Traditional, immaculate, beautiful decor, lovely staff. We stayed here for three nights for a family Wedding in Machynlleth and so relaxed we decided to stay for another night. Very relaxing part of the world to explore.  We loved the little touches like being allocated the same table and waiter each night who got to know quickly your dietary requirements and even altered your menu accordingly each night, very helpful if you are gluten free. Made to feel part of a large family who looked after your every need. An amazing choice of freshly cooked food, served quickly and presented beautifully.  The pool is separate to the hotel. Very clean and quiet with warm changing rooms. Lovely spa tub and nicely heated pool which was cleaned as we were there.  The staff seem to take a great pride in working for a family company rather than a large chain. It does make a difference! All the residents seemed to revisit and know the staff which says a lot for returning business. The restaurant was buzzing each night and took me back to the 'good old days' when service with a smile really meant that. I have been to many hotels over the decades but none has matched this hidden gem. I can see an annual trip on the agenda.

Welcome to the Trefeddian Hotel, Aberdovey...

Ideally located in Mid Wales, the village is the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. Rich in history and beauty, there is plenty to see and do with undulating valleys and magnificent mountains.

Stretching out in front of the hotel is four miles of golden sandy beach, offering plenty of space for all to enjoy. Whether it be swimming, surfing, flying kites or making the most of the weather, the beach is magnificent and the envy of many.

Stroll along the powder soft sands of the Cambrian Coast, enjoy precious moments in our comfortable lounges and discover your adventurous side on a trek over the rolling hills of the Snowdonia National Park. Then, enjoy a dip in our indoor pool, an afternoon tea on one of the terraces or some good old-fashioned fun in the games room before retiring to one of our fifty nine light airy bedrooms, or wind down in a self catering hideaway.

Children love the simple elements of the village keeping them occupied for hours.  Crabbing from the jetty, donkey rides, building sandcastles, paddling feet and a lovely homemade ice cream to end the day…imagine!

We’re pleased you’ve found us! We are dedicated to your comfort and look forward to welcoming you to our family run hotel.
