Restful rambling and windswept walks

Southern Snowdonia is an ideal base for novice and seasoned walkers who will find a host of new and delightful experiences within easy reach of the Trefeddian Hotel. Follow disused railway lines, old miners' and drovers' trails or enjoy forays in the nearby forests. Explore hidden valleys, wild open moorland, lakes and mountains. Challenge yourself on the off-road bike trails

The Hotel offer guests a basic guide to cycle routes and mountain bike trails in the area. There are plenty to choose from; Mach 3, Nant Yr Arian, Dysynni Valley, Coed Y Brenin and the Mawddach Trail are just a few. Go coastal

Aberdovey is an absolute paradise for water sports enthusiasts. The estuary is ideal for sailing, canoeing, sailboarding and water-skiing whilst the coastline up to Tywyn is popular with surfers and kite-surfers. Cardigan Bay also has some lovely ports for those into yachting. Conscientious power boat, jet bike and jet ski owners are also welcome and there are launching facilities available through the Harbour Master.

Aberdovey is a popular destination for golfing enthusiasts and, with its own putting course and the championship Aberdovey Golf Course on its doorstep, the Trefeddian Hotel is the perfect place to enjoy a golfing holiday in Wales. Machynlleth Golf Club is every inch your quintessential short 9-hole heathland course; enjoyable, entertaining and with superb views to match. Distance from Trefeddian Hotel: 12.3 miles.

Borth & Ynyslas Golf Club is one of the oldest courses in Wales. It is a traditional 18-hole links course where the fairways overlap in select holes and where the wind is a constant factor. Distance from Trefeddian Hotel: 24.9 miles.

Penrhos Golf Club - nestled in the beautiful Wyre Valley, this top-class parkland golf complex enjoys a wonderful location that is the envy of many clubs.
